In order to infuse a new spirit, the institution has revamped the look and feel of the brand keeping the DNA of the brand intact. A new logo design, an inspiring vision and a strong mission statement are part of the way forward.
The city of Thanjavur has shaped the face of architecture, music, dance, song, painting, sculpture, literature, traditions over the years. It is no surprise that Thanjavur is called the ‘cultural capital of Southern India’ and the new logo derives inspiration from this ancient city.
The new Gana Kala logo is rendered in classic Thanjavur style and depicts ‘Saraswati : Goddess of Fine Arts and Learning’. The name of the institution ‘Gana Kala’ is given prime importance and the color red represents auspiciousness, dynamism and passion.
Vision & Mission
In an era of instant gratification, classical arts are seen as old-fashioned and boring. The new generation is activity rich but time poor. Music and dance have become extra-curricular activities almost a part of the weekly timetable. Children are enrolling to fulfill their parent’s dream. The parent wants the child to perform on stage as soon as possible.
Gana Kala believes that the world can be a far beautiful place only if the fine arts are nurtured and accorded its due status in society. The vision of Gana Kala is ‘To inspire a generation of culture lovers.’
Gana Kala endeavors to be a reputed dance and music school that is relevant to the new age generation. In order to recreate the magic of the great culture and tradition its new mission is : ‘Music and dance are an integral part of our rich heritage and culture. Gana Kala endeavors to pass on this wonderful heirloom to the next generation.’
