Dr.Sharma\u2019s Concert in Ganakala Vidya Nilayam was a meditative journey for the jam packed audience at Triveni Society Goregaon on 23rd<\/sup> March 2014.<\/p>\n With a wonderful Lalgudi\u2019s varnam of Nalinakanthi the concert began with a brisk tempo.\u00a0 Following the Varnam, Thulasivanam composition of \u2018Pranthosmi Devam Vinayakam \u2018 in Nattai\u00a0 paved the path for the richness to the concert which was followed by another master piece by Muthuswami Dikshithar \u2018Sadachale swaram\u2019 in Ragam Boopalam together with brief Kalpana Swarams. \u00a0Bhogindrasayinam of maharaja Swathithirunal in Ragam \u2018Kundalavarali\u2019 was the next item in the \u00a0concert which was delivered with the excellent tempo created a jubiliant mood.\u00a0 He moved on next to Papanasam Sivan\u2019s \u2018Chitham Irangadadhenaiya\u2019 \u00a0in \u00a0\u00a0Ragam Sahana. Various\u00a0‘pidis’ of Shana was exhibited with nice rendition.\u00a0\u00a0Next sub-man item in the concert began with a\u00a0 graceful Alapana of\u00a0\u00a0vivadi raga & 70th Melam\u00a0\u00a0‘Nasikabhushani’\u00a0\u00a0followed by ‘Maaravairi ramaNi’ \u00a0kriti composed by Swami Thyagaraja. The kriti on devi dharmasamvardhani \u00a0was combined with excellent manodharma in raga, swara and niraval. This was followed by a Mohana Raga composition in Adi tala by \u201cGarbhapuri vasar\u201c<\/p>\n On special request Dr.Sharma chose to present\u00a0 Ragam\u00a0 Tanam Pallavi in Thodi Ragam set by great vidwan TRS set to Kanda Jati Tripudai [ \u00bc idam thalli]. \u00a0The technical aspects applied included thrikala, chaturasra tisram and tisram followed by vilomam\u00a0 made the RTP became more adorable.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Shri\u00a0 SVR on Violin and Sridhar on the Mridangam\u00a0 were a perfect foil and contributed to the\u00a0 concert to make it further enjoyable evening with their Manodharmam and Thani. Beautiful Sindhubhairavi piece \u2018 Karunai Deivame Karpagame\u2019 by Sri. Madurai T.Srinivasan followed the\u00a0 RTP.<\/p>\n Dr Sharma received thunderous applause for the soulful\u00a0 Bhajan in Kalyanavasantham and the famous Yamuna kalyani piece \u00a0Krishna nee Begane Baaro.\u00a0 This was quickly followed by Khmas Tillana and the concert concluded with Mangalam.<\/p>\n The entire concert was filled with\u00a0 great bhavam and saukhyam.
